    أخبرني أحد الشيبان أنه في شبابه سأل أهل تلك المنطقة عن هذا المبنى فأخبروه أنه استراحة الملك عبدالعزيز عند البحر ،(يعني مثل الشاليه) ،ويوجد مبنى مشابه له شمال كوبري الميناء في الأرض المقابلة لإستاد عبدالله الفيصل ،والفرق أن ذلك المبنى تمت صيانته ،وهذا بقي مهملاً.
